I'm in the process of learning about how to make money online. So I'm not an expert, but I'm pleased to see it is possible; so far I'm making more than 40$ per month (correction: 60$ in December see here - correction again: 80$ in February) with many blogs on many subjects on hubpages and elsewhere with adsense only (no affiliates programs yet: I prefer to do things one step at a time :)).
After a few months it has become passive income as I don't even update the blogs every week. You can follow my adsense earnings day by day here.
